Original indie folk-rock jangle crafted in the Rocky Mountains. "The Rainhorses" are a new band hailing from Dallas, Nashville and Colorado Springs, who’ve found themselves all living in near the same place at the same moment in time. They collectively bring together decades of stage experience, recording and touring along with each of their own musical leanings. Their lived experiences have quickly coalesced into The Rainhorses’ unique strain of Americana rock. Songs from their forthcoming debut record, Riversongs, feature vocals & acoustic guitars from James Stone, drums, percussion and studio engineering from Jack Kennedy. Lead guitars, bass and studio production by Michael Kimbrell. Taylor Trask is on the keyboards. Their sound has been described as if the Stone Roses and the Smashing Pumpkins had a dalliance with yacht rock along with bootleg Neil Diamond-ish vocals, had he come of age through the Seattle-sound and post rock era of the 90’s. Anyways, take a listen and you decide.
